Across the world, upon His ears
He hears His children’s pleas
He sees each one as His own
Desires to meet each need
In His vision and His wisdom
He intertwines their lives
What appears a no to one of His
Seems to the other, a great prize
The daughter who wants to wed outdoors
The farmer who struggles with drought
It rains upon them both at once
The daughter begins to pout
Did not the Lord see the future
Of the newlyweds’ need to eat?
God’s providence protects
He does meet every need
